How it's calculated
Longest words are placed first in random positions and directions (easy: across and down; medium: + diagonals; hard: + backwards), sharing letters where they cross. Empty cells get random letters.
Frequently asked questions
Why was a word left out?
It didn't fit — use a bigger grid or fewer/shorter words. Left-out words are listed under the puzzle.
Can I use spaces in words?
Spaces and punctuation are removed, so 'ice cream' becomes ICECREAM in the grid.
What size should I use for kids?
10×10 on Easy suits young kids; 15×15 on Hard is a good challenge for adults.
