Why not just draw black boxes?
A drawn box can be removed and the text underneath copied. This tool re-renders redacted pages as images, so the original content is destroyed.
Will redacted pages still be searchable?
Redacted pages become images; other pages are kept as they are. Run OCR afterwards if you need search.
Is anything uploaded?
No — redaction happens in your browser.
