Frequently asked questions

What gutter margin do I need?

It depends on page count: 0.375" up to 150 pages, 0.5" to 300, 0.625" to 500, 0.75" to 700 and 0.875" above that.

What is bleed?

If images or colors reach the page edge, pages must be 0.125" wider and 0.25" taller than the trim size so nothing is lost when trimmed.

Is KDP's previewer still needed?
