Password Generator
Generate strong, random passwords with your choice of length, letters, numbers and symbols — created securely in your browser.
How to use
- 1Choose the length and which character types to include.
- 2Press Generate and copy a password. Nothing is sent or stored.
How it's calculated
Entropy = length × log₂(pool size). Characters are chosen with the browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues).
Frequently asked questions
How long should a password be?
At least 12–16 characters for accounts, and 20+ for password-manager master passwords or encryption keys. Length adds more strength than symbols.
Are these passwords stored or sent anywhere?
No. They're generated on your device with a cryptographically secure random generator and never leave your browser.
What does 'exclude ambiguous characters' do?
Removes characters that look alike — I, l, 1, O, 0 and similar punctuation — so passwords are easier to read and type by hand.
