Compress Image (Reduce to a Target KB)

Shrink JPG, PNG and WebP images — pick a quality, or set a target size like 100 KB for forms and job portals — and optionally resize at the same time.

How to use

  1. 1Add images and choose a quality level — or switch to 'Target size' and enter the KB limit.
  2. 2Optionally set a maximum width, then press Compress.

How it's calculated

For a target size, the quality is found by binary search; if even low quality is too big, the image is scaled down step by step until it fits.

How do I get a photo under 100 KB?

Use Target size, enter 100 KB and a max width of about 1200 px — most photos then fit with good quality.

Will PNGs get smaller?

PNG is lossless, so compression is limited. Converting to JPG or WebP usually cuts the size dramatically.

Is the quality loss noticeable?

At 75–85% quality most photos look identical to the original while being 50–80% smaller.
