How it's calculated
The palette uses k-means clustering on a sample of the image's pixels to find its main colors, sorted by how much of the image they cover.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the picked color?
It reads the exact pixel you click. Photos have noise, so nearby pixels may differ slightly — the magnifier helps you aim.
How many palette colors should I use?
5–6 colors usually capture an image well: a couple of dominant tones plus accents.
