Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between A4 and US Letter?
A4 (210 × 297 mm) is slightly narrower and taller than US Letter (8.5 × 11 in / 216 × 279 mm). A4 is standard everywhere except North America.
How big is A4 in pixels?
2480 × 3508 px at 300 DPI, or 595 × 842 points (72 DPI) as used in PDFs.
Why do A sizes halve so neatly?
They use a 1:√2 ratio, so cutting a sheet in half gives the next size with the same proportions — A3 is two A4s side by side.
