Amazon FBA Profit Calculator

Work out profit, margin and ROI for a product sold through Fulfillment by Amazon — referral fee, FBA fulfillment fee, monthly storage, inbound shipping, product cost and ads — per unit and per month.

Results are estimates for planning; real-world values vary.

How to use

  1. 1Enter the selling price and your product cost.
  2. 2Enter the FBA fulfillment fee for your size tier (from Seller Central's Revenue Calculator) and the referral fee for your category.
  3. 3Add storage, inbound shipping and advertising per unit to see true profit.

How it's calculated

Profit per unit = price − referral fee (price × %) − FBA fulfillment fee − storage − inbound shipping − product cost − ad spend per unit. Margin = profit ÷ price. ROI = profit ÷ (product cost + inbound shipping).

Frequently asked questions

What's the Amazon referral fee?

Usually 15% of the sale price for most categories (8% for some electronics, 17% for clothing above certain prices, with a $0.30 minimum per item). Check Amazon's current fee schedule for your category.

Where do I find the FBA fee?

It depends on the product's size tier and shipping weight, and changes periodically. Use Amazon's FBA Revenue Calculator or the fee preview in Seller Central.

What's a healthy FBA margin?

Many sellers aim for at least 25–30% net margin and 100% ROI to absorb returns, price drops and fee changes.
