URL Safety & Phishing Link Checker
Paste a suspicious link to check it for phishing warning signs — lookalike brand names, hidden domains, raw IP addresses, punycode tricks, link shorteners, risky domain endings and urgent 'verify your account' wording. Runs in your browser; the link is never opened.
How to use
- 1Copy the link (long-press or right-click → Copy link) without opening it.
- 2Paste it here and check the warning signs.
- 3If in doubt, go to the company's website by typing its address yourself.
Frequently asked questions
Does this prove a link is safe?
No. It looks for the patterns phishing links commonly use. A clean result means no obvious red flags — brand-new scam sites can still look normal. Never enter passwords from a link you didn't expect.
Is the link visited or sent anywhere?
No. The analysis runs entirely in your browser and never loads the page, so it's safe to check dangerous links.
What should I do if I clicked a phishing link?
Close the page, don't enter anything, change any password you typed (and enable two-factor authentication), contact your bank if you entered card details, and report it — e.g. forward phishing emails to reportphishing@apwg.org, or in the UK to report@phishing.gov.uk.
