Does British English always use -ise?
No. Both -ise and -ize are correct in British English (Oxford spelling uses -ize), but -ise is more common in the UK, so that's what we output.
Why weren't some words changed?
Words whose spelling depends on meaning, like check/cheque or tire/tyre in some senses, and rarer words not in our list are left for you to review.
Is 'program' changed to 'programme'?
Yes, but British English still writes 'program' for computer programs, so check those by hand.
