Custody Schedule Maker (2-2-3, 7-7, 2-2-5-5)

Build a co-parenting custody calendar from common schedules — alternating weeks, 2-2-3, 2-2-5-5, 3-4-4-3 or every other weekend — and see each parent's share of overnights.

For general information only — not medical advice. Results are estimates; talk to a doctor or qualified health professional about your own health.

How to use

  1. 1Pick a schedule, a start date and names for each parent.
  2. 2Copy the day-by-day calendar into a shared calendar or print it.

How it's calculated

Each schedule is a repeating 14-day cycle of overnights. The share of time is the percentage of overnights with each parent over the cycle.

Frequently asked questions

Which schedule is best for young children?

Younger children often do better with shorter gaps between parents, like 2-2-3. Older children often prefer fewer handovers, like alternating weeks.

What's the difference between 2-2-3 and 2-2-5-5?

Both are 50/50. In 2-2-3 the days a parent has change each week; in 2-2-5-5 each parent always has the same weekdays, which makes school routines easier.

Is this a legal custody agreement?

No — it's a planning tool. Parenting plans should be agreed between parents and, where required, approved by a court.
