What is a bridge day?
A working day between a public holiday and a weekend — booking it off turns, say, a Thursday holiday into a four-day weekend.
Does my employer observe these holidays?
Most US employers observe federal holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, but not always all 11. UK employers usually give bank holidays but aren't required to.
Can I plan around school holidays?
Not yet — this uses national public holidays only.
