Frequently asked questions

How current is this data?

It comes from the open Passport Index dataset, last updated in February 2026. Entry rules change often — always confirm with the destination's embassy or official immigration website before you travel.

What's the difference between an e-visa and an ETA?

An e-visa is a full visa applied for online. An ETA (like the US ESTA, UK ETA or Canada eTA) is a lighter pre-travel authorisation for visa-exempt travellers, usually approved within minutes or days.

Do I need anything else?

Often yes: a passport valid for 3–6 months beyond your stay, proof of onward travel, sufficient funds, and sometimes vaccination records.
