Frequently asked questions
Burned-in vs. separate subtitles?
Burned-in captions are part of the picture and show everywhere (great for social media). Separate files can be turned on/off but aren't supported by every platform.
I don't have a subtitle file — what now?
Write one in the SRT format (number, time range, text) or export it from YouTube Studio or your editor. Use the Subtitle Shifter to fix timing.
Which languages work?
The built-in Noto Sans font covers Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts.
