How do I write functions?
Use ^ for powers, * for multiplication (2x also works), sqrt(), exp(), log() for natural log, and sin, cos, tan.
Does it show steps?

Can it do partial derivatives?
Differentiate with respect to another variable by choosing it in the 'with respect to' field; other letters are treated as constants.
