How it's calculated

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my overall percentage?
Add the marks you got in every subject, add the maximum marks, then divide and multiply by 100. That's different from averaging the subject percentages when totals differ.
How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
It depends on your board or university. CBSE, for example, uses CGPA × 9.5; many universities publish their own formula.
Is 60% a first division?
In many South Asian systems, 60% and above is first division, 45–59% second and 33–44% third. Check your board's rules.
