Scientific Calculator

A free online scientific calculator — type any expression with trig, logs, powers, roots, factorials, constants and unit-aware maths.

How to use

  1. 1Type an expression, e.g. 2^10 + sqrt(16) or sin(30 deg).
  2. 2Use deg for degrees; trig functions use radians by default.

How it's calculated

Supports + − × ÷ ^, parentheses, sqrt, cbrt, abs, sin/cos/tan (and inverses), log (natural), log10, log(x, base), exp, factorial (5!), pi, e, and unit conversions like 5 inch to cm.

Frequently asked questions

Are trig functions in degrees or radians?

Radians by default. Add 'deg' for degrees: sin(30 deg) = 0.5.

How do I write logarithms?

log(x) is the natural log, log10(x) base 10, and log(x, b) any base b.

Can it convert units?

Yes — try '5 km to mile' or '100 degF to degC'.
