How much should I tip?
In the US, 15–20% is standard at sit-down restaurants. In the UK and much of Europe, 10–12.5% is common, and often already included as a service charge — check the bill.
Should I tip on the amount before or after tax?
Etiquette guides usually suggest tipping on the pre-tax amount. Turn on 'Tip on pre-tax amount' and enter the tax separately.
