How it's calculated
For each full year of service (up to 20, counting back from the end): half a week's pay for years when you were under 22, one week for 22–40, one and a half weeks for 41 and over. Weekly pay is capped at £751 (£783 in NI) from 6 April 2026. You need at least 2 years' service.
